Hidden

The flowers that bloom in silence, unnoticed, unappreciated, unaccepted by a noisy and clamoring and distracted world, these flowers are tenderly gathered by His hands and carried into His very presence.

I enter Your courts with nothing to say
nothing to bring
nothing to offer but my very self
which I give willingly and hold nothing back.

The beauty forged in silence does have a song, and even though no one hears it but You, it is a song worth singing and I will not change one note of it.  If the flowers that are most precious to You are the ones that grow
hidden and secret
fragrant on shaded banks
resting in the cool, blue solitude
then let my spirit be a quiet and fertile soil to produce these flowers.

If I never have anything to say but "I love You," then I will have words enough for eternity.

You have been set as a seal on my heart, dearest Lord.  If it is love for You that I have nothing to offer but these treasures of silence, then let this be the devotion of my self.  I will bear these silent flowers
unto You
for You
to bless You
as I am taught by the silence.
